Helo Community Here We Come!

After many, many weeks we finally have something to post! This is just proof that our lives are not as exciting as everyone seems to think! A while back the Issings were in town and we just recieved photos from them the other day. And so you can see pictures from when they visited in the end of March. The pictures were either taken at Pensacola Beach or at NAS Whiting Field when we saw the T-34. Speeking of the T-34, Brian has recently gone on his Cross Country to Fort Worth, Texas. While in Fort Worth for 4 days he was incredibly privledged to attend a Blue Angel Airshow, as one of the intructors that he went down with is a first alternate for Fat Albert, the Marine C-130 that transports all the supplies and makes a guest appearance at the Blue Angel show. Fat Albert is known well among the aviation community, and because Brian was there that weekend he was able to actually fly in Fat Albert! It is such an amazing aircraft, and Brian was able to experience it flying at a top speed of 300 knots only 2 feet off the ground for 9,000 feet, after which they pull up at a 45 degree angle and hit zero G's. The picture of the massive blue and yellow aircraft is Fat Albert and the flight he actually took! A Cross Country signifies the end of Primary Training. While Brian still has a few flights left he is pretty much complete. All in all it took about 5 months to complete and he is well on his way to becomming a Coast Guard Pilot. Also big news, is that while Brian has not yet completed all of his flights, and is yet to officially "select" (which means find out whether or not he is getting helos), he will DEFINATELY be flying helicopters, and has already been chosen to move onto advanced helo training. This may not be a surprise to you all, but there was a 1% chance that he could have gotten fixed wing (BLAH!), but because he is doing so well he will move onto helos. He recently received an academic achievement award for only getting 4 questions wrong in all of the tests that he took throughout the entire training phase...only 4 others received such an award. The picture here is of Brian with Captain Maloney of the US Navy. He is at the top 10% of his class and totally excited to be moving onto rotary flight!
In other news, Lexi is doing great in school. She has only 10 classes left and is scheduled to
graduate on June 15th. Pensacola School of Massage Therapy has decided to have an informal graduation ceremony after the last final, and Lexi with a cumulative GPA of 3.9 (with points deducted only because of attendance) is presently on the President's list and was voted graduation speaker of her class. While school has been a rather interesting experience, she is glad to see it come to an end. She has recently completed her Friday clinics and has had several clinic patients make the decision to see her after she graduates.
The kittens are splendid and absolutely adorable still. Kodi gets along very well with Alpine and Geronimo and while our apartment is not large enough, nor does our apartment allow for three kittens, it is working out incredible well!
We have had the opportinuty to meet up with some great friends over the past few weeks: Brian Troiano, Jess Hayes, Chris McAndrew just to name a few. It has been awesome to be so busy and keep in touch with everyone. It is hard to believe that it has been almost a year since we have been married. As the 27th moves closer and closer we realize how quickly this year has gone by and how truly amazing, life changing and perfect it has been.
