Long Time No Blog

We know, we know, we know...it has been ages since we have posted! Well, I know that you all don't like excuses, but life in Pensacola has been rather hectic these past 4 weeks! For the week of July 11-18th Lexi was home on Long Island where she was able to see pretty much everyone! She spent the week doing crazy things like going to the Body Exhibtion in NYC, having Bec & Laina travel in from all over, catch up with the bridesmaids, see baby Jack & the Bove boys, and was able to be in town for Bob's graduation party. It was great to see everyone, especially since she had not been home since Christmas! Following that week at home, Bob came back with her to spend the week in Pensacola. They had a great time and did some really cool stuff. Aside from the obvious beach time, we were able to rent a boat and spend the day on Blackwater River in Milton, FL, and went geocaching on a 3 mile hike through the trails of a local college. For those of you who do not know what geocaching is let us explain. It is, in a nutshell, a technologically advanced treasure hunt. With the use of a GPS and a website where people log "caches" you are able to plug in lat/long coordinates and find where people leave these caches. Caches can be anything from a tiny tupperware with a log book to 5 gallon buckets where you can trade things! It is a super awesome adventure, especially when it is accompained by a long hike, and you never know what is going to be there since these are all over the world!! That's right everyone, we are present-day pirates, and we even get to keep some of the booty!! ARG!! You can see some awesome stuff on those hikes! We saw 2 HUGE grasshoppers mating. You know, we always wondered where the discovery channel had to go to find footage like that, now we know! If you want pictures from when Bob was here you are going to have to yell at him---he is yet to send us the pictures from his camera!!! BOB!!!
We have done a lot of caching recently and there are some pictures attached for you to enjoy! In other news, we have decided to let our first pet as a married couple go. For those of you who knew our turtle Melton, you are a better person for it! We decided that Melton did not like captivity and so we set him free in a place on the trails that have tons of red ear slider turtles. It was a sad day, but it was for the best! Melton is now as free as a turtle can be and hopefully enjoying life in the local swamp.
Brian has started flying the helicopter, and is doing awesome! He loves, loves, loves it! It is great to finally see him come home from work excited about what he is doing. It is also totally awesome because we are already set to go to San Diego for helos so it is a good thing that he likes them!!!! Lexi is set to take her National Exam on the 21st of August! Under a week away! She has been working/studying hard and is excited to get it over with already and become licensed! Alpine, Geronimo, and Kodi are all great and they continue to keep us on our toes! As they get older, they can only climb higher things and so we need to keep our eyes out. They are all really great cats and get along awesomly, which is more than we could have ever asked for. The picture that we posted of them was when they said their final good-byes to Melton before we freed him.
To close, God is doing some really awesome stuff in our lives. We can't always put our finger on what He is doing, but we always know that it is big. He has blessed us richly with great friends while we have been down here and he has abundantly blessed our marriage. We learn more about each other everyday and it is always exciting. Day by day, God molds us into better people and strengthens the bond of marriage between us. All of our success and accolades while we have been down here are attributed to Him. He has gotten both of us through the long nights of studying, the safety of traveling, and the lonely times when we have missed all of you. His love for us has been unconditional and we are so grateful for the life that He planned/is planning for us. We look forward to hearing from all of you soon. Please keep us informed of how you are doing, things that are going on in your life, and how we can pray for you. We love you all and hope that you are enjoying your last few days of summer.

In Love,
The Kudrles
